Frequently asked
I’m really shy. Is this going to throw me in at the deep end?
No. The first week is deliberately tiny — saying hello, making brief eye contact, one line in a queue. Every mission can be done somewhere you already go.
Do I have to do it in exactly 30 days?
Not at all. Go at your own pace, repeat missions and take breaks. The arc waits for you.
Won’t using scripts make me sound fake?
Scripts are stabilisers, not masks. You use them to get started, then adapt them into your own words. Every script comes with a “make it yours” tip.
Is this therapy?
No — Smalltalkology is a skills course. If social anxiety is seriously affecting your life, please speak to your GP or a qualified professional. Many people use both side by side.
